View status of custom search indexes
Valid from Pega Version 8.1
Custom search indexes are special purpose indexes that are created and managed outside of Pega Platform™. You can view the status of custom search indexes on the Search landing page to see whether they are complete. This information is useful for troubleshooting and can help you determine whether to rebuild the index.
For more information, see Checking search index status.
Use a JSON file to create a data type
Valid from Pega Version 8.3
You can now use a sample JSON response to create a data type in the Data Type wizard in Integration Designer. Using a sample JSON response reduces development time by providing the response schema when your REST endpoint is not available.
For more information, see Use a JSON file to create a data type.
Default support for skip links
Valid from Pega Version 8.4
All Pega Platform™ access groups now support skip links by default. Before, you had to create special access groups for users who require skip links for screen readers. Now, the feature is automatically enabled for every group, which improves the user experience and simplifies development.
Advance cases from a push notification screen
Valid from Pega Version 7.3.1
You can now approve and reject Pega® Platform cases from your mobile device without opening a custom mobile app. Push notifications that you receive on a mobile device now display buttons that allow you to advance a case.
For more information, see Notifications.
Secure email threading mechanism in email bots
Valid from Pega Version 8.6
Pega Email Bot™ now uses a secure built-in threading mechanism to ensure that all email communication between customer service representatives (CSRs), customers, and other stakeholders is secure and organized in separate threads for a triage case. For this purpose, the system embeds a unique encrypted security code in the body of outbound emails that identifies related triage cases, service requests, and forwarded emails.
For more information, see Understanding email triage process and Use a secure threading mechanism for emails.

Run an application test suite from a CI/CD pipeline
Valid from Pega Version 8.5
Deployment Manager, as well as the existing REST service used to call scenario tests, now accepts a test suite ID when running scenario tests from an application pipeline. By using test suites, you can customize a set of select scenario tests to run as a group, instead of running all the scenario tests that are applied to a particular application.
Only the tests that belong to the suite are run as part of the task.
For more information, see Creating UI-based tests with scenario testing.
Enhanced tables in Cosmos React UI
Valid from Pega Version 8.5
The Pega Platform™ Cosmos React UI environment now includes improved tables. The updated tables use a revamped graphic design and support a number of new run-time behaviors, including column freezing and advanced filtering. The added features improve the user experience by giving case workers more control over data in tables, while the revised architecture enhances efficiency and reliability.
Improved support of browser actions in Cosmos React UI
Valid from Pega Version 8.6
Pega Platform™ applications that use the Cosmos React now maintain user settings for the duration of the session. For example, if a user applies filters and sorting to a table, and then opens a new document, the application retains the table settings when the user navigates back to the page by clicking the browser back button.
This change improves user productivity by reducing the need to repeatedly apply the same settings.
Extended support for Dutch, Italian, and Portuguese in text analytics
Valid from Pega Version 7.2.2
The number of supported languages in the sentiment analysis feature of the Pega 7 Platform has been increased through the addition of sentiment lexicons for Dutch, Italian, and Portuguese in Text Analyzer rules. By using these lexicons, you can now determine the emotional tone of text samples that are written in these languages.
For more information, see Text Analyzer.
