Improved capability to attach content in offline-enabled applications

The feature for attaching content in applications while in offline mode has been enhanced. A list of attached content is displayed in the application while in offline mode. You can view or delete attachments if the application has not yet been synchronized with the server. You also can change the maximum size of a file that you can attach while working in offline mode. This option gives you the flexibility to select the right size of attachment for a specific application for performance, memory limitation, or security reasons.

Create pluggable web storage components for case and Pulse attachments

You can now implement and post your own pluggable web storage components for use with case and Pulse attachments. These web components can be plugged in to Pega^® Platform without the need to make changes to Pega Platform itself. The ability to create a pluggable web storage component is useful when you want to use a web storage provider that does not have an existing pluggable web storage component.

Chart drilldown capabilities extended to dashboard widgets

When the chart for a report is displayed in a dashboard widget, you now can click any part of the chart to drill down and view the subset of data for that part. This enhancement provides you with an accurate view of the data that determines the report results. Previously, this capability was provided only in the Report Viewer.

Enhancements to the Send Email smart shape

The following enhancements have been made to the Send Email smart shape:

• You can now configure the Send Email smart shape in Pega Express.
• You can use templates, such as a rejection template, in your email.
• You can use property values, which allow you to insert the value of a field in your case type, such as First Name, within the email.
• You can insert a link to the case ID in your email.
• You can more quickly configure your recipient list by using two options, instead of one, to send messages to either a list of email addresses or to fields.
• You can choose to send either all case attachments in an email, or you can send attachments of a specified attachment category or an attachment type field. You can specify multiple attachment categories and attachment type fields.

Automatically process cases with SharePoint

You can now use Microsoft SharePoint Online to store and source case and Pulse attachments and to store and source attachments during automated case processing. Users only have to provide authentication and authorization details the first time they access SharePoint Online or when the trust has expired. The authentication profile must be OAuth 2.0 with a grant type of authorization code. The SharePoint Online component can be downloaded from Pega Exchange. New System Queue Management landing page

You can manage your system queues from the new System Queue Management landing page. You can use this landing page to quickly and efficiently debug applications without exiting Designer Studio. In addition to viewing items in a queue, you can defer, remove, and requeue items in a queue, stop items in progress, and view an item's XML.

As a result of this enhancement, the Broken Queue landing page has been removed.

PegaUnit testing now supports flows, case types, and additional assertions

You can now create PegaUnit test cases for flows and case types to verify that the rule returns the expected output when you run the test case.

Additionally, you can use the following new assertions

• Assigned to – Verifies that the case is routed to the appropriate operator or work queue.
• Case status – Verifies the status of a case.
• Attachment exists – Verifies that an attachment exists.
• Case instance count – Verifies the number of case types, such as child cases, that are created when the test case runs.

Node classification

By using the node classification feature, which segregates nodes by their purpose, you can now configure one node with multiple node types. When you start a node with multiple node types, the node runs a set of agents and listeners that are associated with the specified node types. From the Node Classification landing page, you can view and configure the agents associated with node types, view listeners associated with node types, and open Agent rule forms, agent schedules, and Listener rule forms.

Security landing pages and features require privileges

Security-related landing pages and features are no longer visible and accessible to every user. To view and configure the following security features, you must have the appropriate privileges:

• Attribute-based access control (ABAC) policies require the pzCanManageSecurityPolicies privilege.
• The Authentication Services landing page requires the pzCanCreateAuthService privilege.

Improved requestor management

From the Requestor Management landing page, you can now manage active requestors and debug their activity on all nodes in the cluster, including the current node and remote nodes. You can view performance and requestor details; start the Tracer or Clipboard tool; profile, interrupt, or terminate the selected requestor; and estimate the data size of all requestors on the selected node.
