Tracer toolbar shows correctly in Microsoft Internet Explorer

Resolved in Pega Version 8.2.8

After upgrade, the developer toolbar for the tracer pop up was not visible in Internet Explorer. Unit Test Ruleset rules do not count against Guardrails

Resolved in Pega Version 8.2.8

Although the documentation indicates that rules in a Unit Testing ruleset should not count against the guardrail score or unit test coverage, when branching a unit test ruleset, the branch did not carry the same unit test flag value as the source ruleset and the rulesets were counted as a result. This has been resolved with an update to ignore testrulesets in guardrail and pegaunit calculations.

Enhancements added to S3 repository implementation

Resolved in Pega Version 8.2.8

The following changes have been made to avoid redundant/unnecessary S3 SDK calls to look-up metadata for files/folders related to integrated S3 Repository API implementation:

 - Provided storage/AWSSDK/enableSDKMetrics DASS to enable AWS SDK metrics for S3 repositories system-wide to troubleshoot performance issues
 - Added timers for Pega platform repository APIs. To see these timers in Pega application log, set log level to WARN for the log category pxIntegration.Repository.S3 and set log level to DEBUG for the logger com.amazonaws.latency
 - Optimized FileS3Adapter.getMetadata() by avoiding object-metadata lookup for directories and caching rootpath directory metadata for 5 mins
 - Handled exceptions while uploading file to S3 bucket and convey appropriate error message to RepositoryManager.createFile() API consumer
 - Refined DEBUG logging and introduced new loggers to emit stacktraces
 - Enhanced RepositoryManager.initCache() and  FileStorageManager.registerStorageClasses() to maintain non-overridable repositories (that are initialized based on DASS/DNode settings on node start-up) and to prohibit overriding the same.

Documentation updated for using Connect MQ with clustered queues

Resolved in Pega Version 8.6.3

After update to Pega Platform v8.6, an issue was seen with Connect MQ rules that used an alias queue. The support documentation has been revised to outline the necessary steps for updating an application to perform as expected. In the Pega-IntegrationEngine ruleset, create the following dynamic system settings and their default values: "mq/pmo" = 0 "mq/gmo" = 0 "mq/oo_request" = 1040 "mq/oo_response" = 16 For more information, dynamic system setting support articles are available.

Handling updated for queue processor locks

Resolved in Pega Version 8.6.3

The Final activity mentioned in the processing epilog of the Service File rule was not being consistently called from File Listener, causing some of the cases to become stuck and not continue to the next stage. Investigation showed that if the lock was held by the queue processor requestor, the system was unable to obtain the lock but still proceeded to update the LogServiceFile page and persist it. This resulted in overwriting changes made on the LogServiceFile page by the requestor, resetting the completed-batches-count set back to 0. To resolve this, RuleServiceFile -> updateLSFBatchCounts() will call the overloaded lockAndLoad() method in LogServiceFile that accepts a parameter called lockAttempts. This will attempt to obtain a lock for a given number of times before throwing an exception.

Decision table query performance improvements

Oracle handling updated for primary key in upgrade DDL

Resolved in Pega Version 8.6.3

Previously, when a primary key of a table was created Oracle would automatically create a unique index with the same name as the primary key. However, with the introduction of Oracle 19, an optimization was added which will not do that if there is another unique index on the table which contains the column(s) of the primary key. This difference can cause updates to fail with the error "cannot drop index used for enforcement of unique/primary key". This has been resolved by updating the handling for primary key constraint and the corresponding index name.
