SR-D91949 · Issue 552173

Improved search for instances with null property values

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4.2

OneOf filters for a newly introduced property were failing when applied to elasticsearch query. Investigation showed that because a property is created only when the system encounters an instance with a non-empty value for the first time, none of the instances had a value for this property and hence mapping was not generated in elasticsearch. To facilitate searches, an update has been made that will populate a value in one of the instances belonging to the class type so that elasticsearch mapping is generated during indexing of the instance.

Report Definition now searches encrypted properties

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4.2

When using a section in table sourced from a report definition where one of the filter condition properties used was an encrypted property, running the report gave the correct result based on the filter condition but running the case and passing the encrypted property as a parameter to search did not produce the correct result. No data was displayed in the table sourced from the report definition. Because the encryption was done on the parameter string but not the value referenced by parameter, when a report definition is used as a data source for a table, the filter applied on an encrypted property is dropped in the final SQL statement that's generated, leading to incomplete or wrong results to the report. This has been resolved by moving the encryption logic to RuntimeResolver.

Corrected filtered column list sorting in Report Browser

Resolved in Pega Version 8.8

Sorting was not working in Report Browser for a column list when a filter category was selected. This has been resolved by modifying the pzReportListSort activity to set the correct parameters in step-1 and setting pzSetCategoryParam to retain the sortTitle parameter in step 1 with an added step -2 to call the pzReportListSort activity.

Elasticsearch will split queries to avoid URL length limits

Resolved in Pega Version 8.8

Elastic Search Functionality was not working and showed the status as Offline. Investigation showed that when an external Elasticsearch setup had an index prefix length = 200 and a large number of dedicated indexes, the error "too_long_frame_exception, reason: An HTTP line is larger than 4096 bytes" was generated. In this case, the system was working with approximately 87 dedicated indexes and the name for each of them was sent over the URL, resulting in this error message. This has been resolved by updating the system to split queries so as to not exceed the HTTP line limit in Elasticsearch.

INC-201219 · Issue 696610

Updated chart button markup

Resolved in Pega Version 8.8

Some of the buttons were incorrectly displayed while clicking "Edit Report" from the Cosmos report browser. This was due to the buttons generating markup that was used to support older browsers in pzChartButtons, and has been resolved by updating the button markup.

Updated variable handling for filter logic to avoid reuse

Resolved in Pega Version 8.8

When adding the property "ItemStatus" as a filter for a report, the validation message: "This property does not exist or has no column mapping" appeared. This was traced to an empty caption for a class join property used in the filter due to RRFilters_Logic reusing the strFieldName variable, and has been resolved by updating the variable handling to use a unique name, strPropName.

Resolved report filter section freeze

Resolved in Pega Version 8.8

When opening a report with a count column, changing the order of one of the report columns resulted in the report freezing and requiring the report to be closed and re-run. This was traced to a double filter popup appearing that did not close after the column sorting, which happened if the report definition was configured as a summary with an aggregated column such as "Count” combined with a "Do not display group headings" setting on the Report Viewer tab. To resolve this, a new step has been added in the Activity pzPopulateSortOrder to call the pzCancelFilterLogicChanges activity.

Performance improvements for KYC query

Resolved in Pega Version 8.8

The GetApplicationKYCTypes report definition was exceeding the default maximum elapsed time of 30 seconds, causing all cases which were part of the due diligence milestone in Client Lifecycle Management framework to be auto-completed. This has been resolved by improving the KYC Items query logic by removing mergeJoin and adding HashJoin Hints.

INC-209399 · Issue 708572

Handling added for indexing items exceeding Kibana max size

Resolved in Pega Version 8.8

Indexing cases was generating errors from Kibana indicating "Failed to index document: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Document contains at least one immense term in field="_m_MailBody" (whose UTF8 encoding is longer than the max length 32766), all of which were skipped." To resolve this, if an embedded property exceeds the max length defined by Kibana, it will be truncated at 32k bytes in order to allow indexing to proceed.
