SQL query handling added for case-sensitive DBs

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4.1

An Email Listener in RUNNING state was not picking up the emails as expected. This was traced to the column names (pr_log_service_email) being defined in lower case for native SQL queries: since MS SQL server db is case sensitive, it was not able to detect these column names and therefore failed to save the message stub. This has been resolved by adding the necessary handling.

SR-D88997 · Issue 548897

Improved accessibility for labels and instructions

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4.1

In order to improve accessibility, a label has been added to the delegation filter input and a search input box has been added to pzRecordsEditorWrapper along with the ability to use the 'Cell read-write classes' option to hide it in the UI.

Tracer retains modified user settings

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4.1

User settings in tracer were not shown when the settings window was closed and reopened. Investigation showed that settings are filtered based on watchInsKey, but this parameter was passed as "null" for global tracer because of a missing condition to check the session type. This has been resolved by adding a check so the WatchInsKey parameter is passed if the session type is rule watch.

DMaps cleared to set correct JobScheduler next run time

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4.1

When items were added into a QP, the items shown under Scheduled and weren't being processed immediately. Investigation found that the job scheduler which fetched the entries for QP to process wasn't running as expected, and the "Next run" time stamp for JS was incorrectly populated and entries weren't being fetched at all. To correct this, updates have been made to clear entries in DMap belonging to the node during shutdown and from the membership listener so the correct next run time is set.

SR-D76861 · Issue 544607

Job Scheduler will be stopped by node shutdown detection

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4.1

LifeCycle Job Scheduler was trying to start already stopped background services during node shutdown, causing exceptions to be logged. This has been resolved by stopping Job Scheduler execution when node shutdown is detected.

Updated AgentName handling for QueueItemID

Resolved in Pega Version 8.6.4

A report was showing as scheduled but no mail was received when it was supposed to run. Investigation showed this was due to the reports being corrupted, leading to the flow skipping the necessary Queue-For-Agent method. While there was a workaround of doing a "Save As" to create a new version of the report, this has been addressed by setting the agentName before saving to the database to handle missing agentName cases and ensure pyAgentname is always populated when pzQueueItemID is not empty.

INC-195586 · Issue 698861

Updated access group handling for CurrentWorkPool property

Resolved in Pega Version 8.6.4

After update, the pxThread.pxCurrentWorkPool property was not properly populated in App Requestors when the activity was called from Rest service. This was caused by a difference in the authentication check after a security modification, and has been resolved.

ClusterAndDBCleaner updated to with with Oracle query limits

Resolved in Pega Version 8.6.4

The pzClusterAndDBCleaner job scheduler was not able to cleanup data in pr_op_data session table due to the delete query formed to clean up this table throwing "ora-01795 maximum number of expressions in a list is 1000 oracle 19c" exception. This has been resolved by splitting requestor IDs into batches of 1000.

Engine updated to default to hard references in cache

Resolved in Pega Version 8.6.4

A scheduled campaign executing at midnight was failing with a null pointer error message. Rerunning the same campaign during the day did not encounter any issues. Investigation showed there was a race condition that occurred under heavy load and parallel executions which caused soft references to be garbage collected while a thread was accessing the same soft references. This has been resolved by updating the following DSS so the system will default to using hard references: Ruleset: Pega-Engine Purpose: prconfig/cache/enablesoftreferences/default Value: false
