Added catch for SAML WebSSO duplicate key exception

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4.5

After logging in from SSO, closing the Pega window and opening it again resulted in the error "Unable to process the SAML WebSSO request : Violation of PRIMARY KEY constraint. Cannot insert duplicate key in object." This has been resolved by updating the session index handling and adding a catch for the duplicate key exception.

Added mail/telephone link to allowed CSP child frame

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4.5

After upgrade from v8.3 to v8.5, clicking on the mail / telephone link in the out of the box case participants gadget generated the Content Security Policy error "This content is blocked. Contact the site owner to fix the issue." Examination of the browser dev-tools console indicated the object refused to frame because it violated the Content Security Policy directive: "frame-src *". This behavior was specific to the Google Chrome browser, and has been resolved by adding code so the mailto: and tel: will be added to the frame-src when Data is selected under Child Frame-Source option. Unchecking the Data checkbox for Child Frame-Source on the policy landing page will remove these from allowed actions under CSP.

Skip restored for browser request CSRF token

Resolved in Pega Version 8.4.5

Many SECU0008 alerts were seen in the production logs. This was the result of a CSRF token check on requests without pyActivity or pyStream, and has been resolved by restoring a conditional skip of the check as those other browser requests do not contain a CSRF token.

SR-D23239 · Issue 499595

Support added for multi-operator SAML logins

Resolved in Pega Version 8.3.1

When a SAML user is logged in by Single Sign-On (SAML), the system processes the login to portal as a different operator if there was a function on the Attribute field under Operator identification in the SAML authentication service. In this scenario, using an expression for operator provisioning did not work because all SAML login sessions resolved to the same first operator due to parseAndEvaluateExpression() in ExpressionHelper.java ignoring new expression arguments if the expression page already existed. To support the use of multiple operator logins in this format, the system has been updated to clone a new expression page for every session and update it with the correct expression arguments.

HTTPS login path issue resolved

Resolved in Pega Version 8.3.1

When using iOS, entering wrong credentials for a login with an https endpoint converted the URL to http. This was traced to a case where the resourcePath was coming as http in SSL enabled system, but the reqURI was still https. To correct this, the system has been updated so that if the reqContextURI starts with https and the requestURL starts with http, then the requestURL will be converted to https.

Global obfuscation key initialized on first requestor call

Resolved in Pega Version 8.6.4

When using URLEncryption = true and SubmitObfuscatedURL = optional, attempting to export an Excel spreadsheet resulted in the error "Invalid character found in the request target". This was traced to the variable pega.d.globalobfuscateKey having a null value which was then converted to a byte array and decoded, generating improper characters in the URL. After a browser refresh, the correct value was set in pega.d.globalobfuscateKey and the export worked as expected. To resolve this, an update has been made to initialize the key on the very first call in PRRequestorImpl when the global obfuscation key is determined to be NULL instead of initializing the global obfuscation key by on-demand basis from HTTPAPI.

Added security tokens to Worklist assignment error wizard

Resolved in Pega Version 8.6.4

After enabling CSRF, moving to 'Configure -> Case Management -> Tools -> Work Admin -> Worklist assignment errors' and then selecting a record and clicking on 'Delete' resulted in a '403 Forbidden' error. This has been resolved by adding CSRF and fingerprint tokens as part of the form data.

UI and code changes to support Client Assertion in Open ID Connect

Resolved in Pega Version 8.6.4

In order to support private_key_jwt, an enhancement has been added which will pass the “Client ID” and “Client assertion” (in the form of a signed JWT) as part of the authorization code grant flow for an IDP-initiated SSO. The Authorization Server will then authenticate Pega (the client) to verify the signature and payload of assertion by retrieving the public key via Pega’s JWKS endpoint.
