Service SOAP outflow response supports RSA_SHA256 & RSA_SHA384

Resolved in Pega Version 8.8

When service SOAP was configured in Pega WS-Security Profile with with outflow as signature and the signature method selected as RSA_SHA256, the response from service SOAP was still RSA_SHA_1 and the digest method was SHA_256. This has been resolved by updating WS-Security Profile to support RSA_SHA256 & RSA_SHA384 in service SOAP outflow response.

Job Scheduler explicitly unlocked after nodes restart

Resolved in Pega Version 8.8

If a job scheduler was in running state and the utility nodes were restarted, the background processing nodes were not coming up and resuming as expected and PersistentJobCleanupFactory:PresentMembersJobCleanup was throwing a stale execution exception. Investigation showed locks were not being removed from the database for the job scheduler when the restart was performed (noted in pegadata.pr_sys_locks table), preventing further runs. This has been resolved by adding an explicit lock removal process for this condition.

Clipboard page instance resolution simplified

Resolved in Pega Version 8.8

Previous work related to removing duplicate clipboard page creation from the pyInstanceInfoForUpdate list in order to resolve out of memory issues has been further updated to address a missed use case. While finding a matching instance with same className during instance list resolution, fault logic was leading to the same java object instance being updated N times and added N times to a linked list. This caused unnecessary complexity and has been resolved by removing the matching instance logic and instead creating items for each entry individually.

INC-232137 · Issue 734414

Improved handling for thread resolution issues

Resolved in Pega Version 8.8

Queue Processor/Dataflow was moving to STOPPED state due to failed records in its execution. Investigation showed there was a minor logic issue in the queue processor activity which allowed the Page-Remove step to be called even before the pages were actually created, and this has been resolved by improving the recovery from a cleared ThreadContainer which might cause thread resolution issues.

Connection list API call will be skipped when not configured

Resolved in Pega Version 8.8

An exception was appearing as part of Robotic Desktop Automation (RDA) flow whenever message service host was not configured. This has been resolved by skipping the connection list API call when the message service host is not configured. A specific Pega log and console log messages have also been added.

Workaround added for Oracle 4000 character column value max

Resolved in Pega Version 7.3.1

Due to an Oracle limitation, RD on a clob column fails if the column value is of length greater than 4000. To work around this, support has been added to retrieve data from a clob column of length greater than 4000 characters using report definition based on DASS setting "reporting/retrieveFullClobContent" defined on "Pega-RULES".

SR-B51989 · Issue 310393

TimeStamp column includes milliseconds in extract

Resolved in Pega Version 7.3.1

Extraction to database output format was not showing the millisecond part of the datetime column. This was a missed use case for BIX when the support of Datetime property mapping to timestamp column was introduced in Oracle, and has been fixed.

SR-B64125 · Issue 313855

Fixed SLA calculations with custom classes in Oracle

Resolved in Pega Version 7.3.1

For work classes, columns for pySLAGoal and pySLADeadLine are of type TIMESTAMP in Oracle DB. The Pega getContentItemsPastSLA activity uses the columns to find date differences with SYSDATE and then used a subtraction operation between columns of type TIMESTAMP and SYSDATE to calculate the SLA. However, an exception resulted when custom classes were used. To correct this, getContentItemsPastSLA has been updated to cast the columns of type TIMESTAMP to DATE type.

SR-B66297 · Issue 314861

Instance insertion fixed for PostgreSQL partitioning

Resolved in Pega Version 7.3.1

Obj-Save was failing when trying to insert an instance in a partitioned PostgreSQL table with 'only if new' enabled. This record insertion failed because of a system check that is present when inserting an instance into the child table, and the issue has been resolved by reworking the code that was checking (assuming) if the insert was successful based on the returned inserted count.
