About Application Use Case rules

The Details tab contains the business objectives, actors, and other processing details of the use case. V6.2 PROJ-573 GRP-23944-2 No longer 'Definition' tab. Tab name changed to 'Details' and 'Description' gets its own tab KOWAL

Description

Business Objective

Specify an objective.

Trigger

Specify the event method that triggers the use case. Standard values are Email, External Service Call, Image, Letter, Phone, SWIFT, or Web Browser.

Status

Select the status of this use case.

Actors

Specify the primary actor for the use case. Defaults to Any. Click to add additional actors.

Complexity

Select a complexity that describes the estimated level of effort required to create the use case. Standard values are: Low, Medium, and High.

Shape

Select the value that describes the process shape that this use case represents. Options are:

  • Entire Flow
  • Human Based Step
  • Integration
  • Starting Screen
  • Sub Process
  • Automated Step
On Behalf of

Specify the actor who performs the work on behalf of the primary actor.

Subject Matter Experts

Specify the names of people who are the subject matter experts for this use case. Click to add additional rows.

Pre-Conditions

Specify any states that must be true about the system before the start of this use case. Click to add additional rows.

Post-Conditions

Specify the states that must be true about the system at the end of this use case. Click to add additional rows.
