Deadline

A deadline is a time interval. A deadline time is an instant in time.

• A deadline is the second and longer of two time intervals defined in a service level rule. The time interval is a sum of days, hours, minutes, and seconds on the Service Level form, and may relate to a specific calendar instance.
• When a service level rule is associated with an assignment, a work item, or other instance, the system determines the start time for a deadline (for that instance) and then adds the deadline interval to calculate a specific deadline time and date.

On the Designer Studio worklist display, a red clock icon () indicates that the deadline time for this assignment is less than an hour in the future or has occurred. B-18180 Property Assign-.pyTimeLimitUrgency and control rule TimeLimitUrgency define this presentation.

In releases before V6.2, the clock appeared as .

Don't confuse the deadline red clock icon with the assignment urgency red clock on user forms or in the Case Manager portal. In the example below (open cases on My Cases tab) :

• A red clock indicates an urgency greater than 60.
• Elapsed deadline intervals appear in red text when the deadline times are exceeded.
• If a case has exceeded goal but not deadline, the remaining deadline interval appears in yellow text.
• If neither time has been exceeded, the interval is in plain text.
