Generating an Application Profile — Step 1 |
This topic guides you through the Select step of the Application Document Wizard for an Application Profile template. Separate instructions are available for Application Document and Specification Document templates.

Use the fields in this section to specify your project name and the organization sponsoring application development. This information appears in the title page and relevant sections of the generated document.

Project Led By |
The organization leading application development. Options include: Pegasystems — Leaders from Pegasystems. This option is selected by default. Pegasystems Certified Partner — A certified partner of Pegasystems. Client-Self Led — The organization specified in Organization Name field. This field controls content in the "Executive Summary" and visibility of the "Specialty Consultative Service Products" chapter. |
Implementation Methodology |
Updates chapter labels and available options in the Sizing section to align with your project's methodology. For example, PegaBPM measures project status in phases, while Scrum evaluates user stories. Options include: PegaBPM, Scrum, and Other. |
Document Process Images | Controls the visibility of flow diagrams in the generated document. |
Partner Name | Appears when Pegasystems Certified Partner is selected in the Project Led By field. Type the name of the partner to include in the generated document. |
Click Define Timelines to create a sizing estimate (or timeline) for your project.
In the Sizing window, enter the expected number of weeks to complete each phase, stage, or sprint. Options vary based on the value you selected in the Implementation Methodology field.
Click OK to close the window. Your estimates appear as a graph in the "Implementation Details" chapter of the generated document.
Default values in the Sizing window are populated from the most recently attached sizing spreadsheet. You can change these values, however, they are only reflected in the generated document. They are not copied back into the sizing spreadsheet.
This section gives you a preview of the generated document's table of contents.
Each row represents a chapter. Expand any row to see its subchapters.
Click Refresh to update the preview with your latest settings.
