Creating an application with the New Application wizard
You can use the to quickly create an application that contains the required rules and data instances. This wizard uses customizable application types to create applications. - In the Designer Studio header, click the name of your current application and click New Application to start the wizard.
- In the New Application wizard, click the application type that you want to use for your application.
If the application type that you are looking for is not listed, click Search all types, and search for the application that you want to use as the built-on application. You can select from all applications in the system that are configured as built-on applications.
- Click Use this application type.

Based on the application type and the information that you specify, the system creates an application with the required case types, data types, access groups, and operators. For example, the system clones the access groups that point to the application, clones the roles in that access group, and creates any users that you defined on the Application wizard tab of the Application rule form.
- Click Switch to new application to open the application that you created in express mode. When you open the application, you are switched to using the access group that has access to the Developer portal. This access group was configured for the application type that the new application was built on.
Alternatively, click Done to exit the wizard without opening the new application.
