Installing the Facebook Channel component

To provide your users with the Facebook channel for communicating with your application through Facebook Messenger, add the FacebookChannel component to your Pega Platform application.

Before you begin: If the FacebookChannel component is not part of your Pega Platform application, obtain a .zip file for the FacebookChannel component from Pega Marketplace. For more information, see Facebook Channel.
  1. In Dev Studio, click the name of your application, and then click Definition.
  2. In the Enabled components section, click Manage components.
  3. If the FacebookChannel component does not display in the list in the Available components section, install the .zip file on Pega Platform by clicking Install new.
    The FacebookChannel component is not available in your application by default. You must select it from a list. If it is not available in the list, you must import the component.
  4. In the Status column, select the Enabled check box for the FacebookChannel component.
  5. Click OK, and then click Save.
