This section describes some of the key data types included in the Pega Foundation for Healthcare object model which are widely leveraged across other Pega healthcare applications.

Authorization

Pre-configured industry standard attributes for a healthcare service authorization. Many attributes include pre-configured standard code values.

Benefit Coverage

Pre-configured industry standard attributes for a healthcare benefits coverage. This data type can be used for member’s plan benefit information.

Claim

Pre-configured industry standard attributes for a healthcare claim. Data object can be used for claim-related operations such as mapping from a X12 claim file and claim adjudication.

Service

This data class provides pre-configured industry standard attributes for a healthcare service. It is a superset of common attributes that are used across Authorization, Claim, and Claim Lines.

Member

This data class provides pre-configured industry standard attributes for a member and enables membership related operations such as enrollment, service, and eligibility.

Provider

This data class provides pre-configured industry standard attributes for a provider. Many attributes include pre-configured standard code values. The class is further specialized for Practitioner and Service Org to hold data attributes that are specific for NPI Type 1 (Practitioner) and Type 2 (Facility) type providers.
