Updating to 8.7 from earlier versions of Pega Knowledge
This section provides information for customers updating to Pega Knowledge from an earlier version.
Pega Knowledge version 8.7 has the following update considerations.
| Update issue | Description |
| Version compatibility updates | If you are updating to the latest patch release of Pega Platform version 8.7, only the 8.7 version of the Pega Knowledge application is supported. For more information about updating your application, see the Pega Knowledge Update Guide. |
| Expert approval feature | In version 8.7, the enable expert approval feature is enhanced to ensure that all articles go through the approval stage for all edits. If this feature is enabled but you are not using expert approval, and you want to allow publishers to skip article approvals, you must disable this feature by clearing the Enable expert approval checkbox on the Taxonomy page after updating to version 8.7. |
