The Dashboard feature of a composite Manager portal
provides quick navigation among the various displays and controls the portal offers to give a
real-time overview of the business supported by an application.
At the top left of the Manager composite portal, select Dashboard.
The left panel displays gadgets such as a summary of the current manager profile and the most recent News items. Click Full Profile to review the profile in more detail.
The main work area of the Dashboard displays gadgets such as charts to provide a quick overview of work progress. Developers can specify charts to appear here that are relevant to the application and the managers' needs. See
How to create a
composite portal.
Dashboard charts
By default, this area contains four interactive charts
you can use to monitor your work group: C-2599
- Number of Processes Created Weekly by Work Type —
Shows how many new work objects were created, by work type, during
an eight week period. Use the slider control to change the date
range. Defined by the standard summary view rule
Work-.ArrivalsPastEightWeeksIC.ALL.
- Timeliness of Top Process Owners —
Assignment timeliness, for those users who have the most open
assignments. Use the slider control to change which operators are
visible. Defined by the standard summary view rule
Work-.AgeByAssigneeTop5IC.ALL.
- Top Process Resolvers — Identifies those
users who have resolved the most work objects. Defined by the
standard summary view rule
Work-.CountResolvedByResolverTop5IC.ALL.
- Timeliness by Process Type — Timeliness
at the flow rule level. Defined by the standard summary view rule
Work-.CountResolvedByResolverTop5IC.ALL.
Drag the slider
control () to adjust which
categories are visible. Click the Maximize button () to present
the chart in a larger, full-screen window. Click the Show Data button
() to view the
summary view output as numeric data.
To view and interact with interactive charts, confirm that your
workstation Web browser includes Adobe Flash Player 9 (or a more recent version), a free
download. See Flash
Player.
The standard HTML rule Data-Gadget.IChartsDashboard
presents the four interactive charts in this space. By default, these
interactive charts refresh only every 50 minutes or so; you can
override this HTML rule and set a lower timeout value or present
different charts.
In Process Commander 5.1 and earlier releases,
the contents of the Dashboard are presented by the standard HTML rule
Data-Gadget.GraphsforWorkMonitoring. If your application
needs to use the static image charts presented in Version 4.X and 5.1,
you can revert to the older summary view rules, which remain available
with the same name as before, without the final "IC" in the
name.)
Processes Started By Me gadget
This area contains a list of work processes the current manager has started.
Workspace —
Delegated Rules gadget
This area contains a list of shortcut links to rule instances or
data instances delegated to the current manager. See How to delegate a
rule.
