A deadline is a time interval. A deadline time is an instant in time.

• A deadline is the second and longer of two time intervals defined in a service level rule. The time interval is a sum of days, hours, minutes, and seconds on the Service Level form, and may relate to a specific calendar instance.
• When a service level rule is associated with an assignment, a work object, or other instance, the system determines the start time for a deadline (for that instance) and then adds the deadline interval to calculate a specific deadline time and date.
