Use control rules (known as HTML Property rules in V5-V6.1) to control how properties appear on work object forms, correspondence, and other HTML forms, for both display and for accepting user input.
Auto-generated controls are available, and are preferred in new development. See Atlas — Standard auto-generated control rules.
For properties of mode Single Value,
a control rule
may be identified in the Control field of the
Property rule form. Control rules also may appear in list view and
summary view rules to define the appearance of values in reports, and in
harness, section, and flow action rules that define work object
forms.
Use the Rules Explorer to list all control rules available to you.
Control rules are instances of the Rule-HTML-Property class. They are part of the User Interface category.
