Configuring password enforcement

Enable password enforcement to password-protect a custom mobile app for Android and iOS, and provide extra protection for local data. To shorten the app initiation time and make the app more user-friendly, disable password enforcement. By default, password enforcement is disabled.

  1. In Designer Studio, click the name of your application and click Channels and interfaces.
  2. Click a custom mobile app icon.
  3. Click the Build tab.
  4. Expand the Advanced section below the App branding section.
  5. Select the Always prompt for password on start check box to password-protect mobile app data. The user must enter a password each time the app starts. Clear this check box to build an app that does not require a password to start.
  6. Click Save.
