Creating operator ID instances for OAuth 2.0 ROPC authentication for mobile apps

When you configure user authentication with OAuth 2.0 tokens, using the Resource Owner Password Credentials (ROPC) authentication flow, you must configure operator ID instances of the operators who will be connecting to your application.

To be valid in user authentication with OAuth 2.0 tokens, all operator IDs must match email addresses that are passed within validation calls to the userinfo_url endpoint of the authentication server.
  1. Create an operator ID.
For more information, see Creating operator IDs.
  2. In the Short description field, enter the name of the operator.
  3. In the Operator ID field, enter the value that is used by authentication, for example, [email protected].
  4. Set the value of the Authentication type field to Custom.
  5. Click Create and open.
  6. Complete all the required fields.
  7. On the Security tab, select Use external authentication.
  8. Click Save.
