Implementation of 8-digit BIN in Pega Smart Dispute

Updated on March 9, 2022

In current implementation, the issuers using Smart Dispute BIN data transform rules to populate the Issuer Details page have used 6-digit BIN only.

Pega Smart Dispute for Issuers

Smart Dispute has BIN data transform, which are specific BIN data transform rules that store issuer details. The data transform is used by the issuers to build Issuer Details page on the Clipboard for dispute cases. The Issuer Details page plays a key role in evaluating domestic and international conditions and fetching the chart of accounts for accounting.

The issuer details information for any primary account number (PAN) is loaded from the BIN data transform whose naming convention is BIN number + First 6-Digits of Account number number.

For example, the BIN475299 data transform contains the BIN information for the cards starting with 475299 issued by the issuers.

The BIN data transform is used by the issuers to store information about the geographic information for the issuing bank, contact information, and other common information of the issuer banks.
