Selecting a repository for exported interactions and decisions

Updated on June 20, 2022

This content applies only to Pega Cloud environments

Update your application settings by selecting a repository for exported interactions and decisions. When you select the repository, the system creates and updates the required export data flows and data sets. As the final step, to start exporting interactions and/or decisions, you need to enable the related dynamic system settings.

You can use the exported interactions and decisions for analysis in business intelligence (BI) tools and for auditing.

Pega Customer Decision Hub Update Guide
Before you begin:

If a suitable repository is not already available in your system, add a repository for exported interactions and decisions. For more information, see Creating a repository.

Note: If your application is deployed in a Pega Cloud services environment, Pega Cloud File Storage is preconfigured for you as a default repository. The name of this repository in your application is pegacloudfilestorage. You can select this repository or a different one as your decision repository.
  1. In the navigation pane of App Studio, click SettingsApplication.
  2. On the Configuration tab, in the Data export location section, select the repository for storing exported interactions and decisions.
  3. Click Save.
Defining a repository in the application settings
The pega cloud file storage repository is selected as the data export location.
Result: The system creates and updates the following rules:
  • The WriteDataToInteractionFiles data flow and the InteractionFiles data set that are used to export the interaction files to the repository.
  • The WriteDataToDecisionFiles data flow and the DecisionFiles data set that are used to export the decision files to the repository.
Note: By default, the export of interactions and decisions is disabled. You can enable export by modifying the related dynamic system settings.
What to do next: Turn the export features on and off as needed, and define how long you want to keep the exported files:
