Updating your built-on application
Change the built-on application for your application definition if required.

8.6 Feature Adoption for Pega Cloud
- For Pega Cloud updates from 7.x to 8.6, this procedure is required before you can use your application.
- For Pega Cloud updates from 8.x to 8.6, this procedure is required if you want to use the latest Pega Customer Service features.
- In the header of Dev Studio, click the name of the application, and then click Definition.
- In the Built on applications section, change the values
in the Name and Version fields to
the name and version of the built-on application that you want to use. If the
name is unchanged, change the version information only.
Choices Actions Update to Pega Customer Service for Communications 8.6 Select CustomerServiceForComms 8 or CustomerServiceForComms 8.6.
To use the latest features in release 8.6, you must select the 8.6 built-on application. Always choose the built-on application for release 8.6, unless your existing application requires rules that are deprecated or withdrawn in the latest release.
- Click Save.
