General Data Protection Regulation compliance

Updated on August 27, 2020

Starting with Pega Platform 8.1, Pega Platform supports the European Union regulation on General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) through the use of Client Based Access control rules.

Pega Customer Decision Hub for Financial Services uses the same tools in Pega Platform to support this for the Customer, Prospect, and Lead data models.

Note: GDPR compliance applies only when using the Pega Customer Decision Hub for Financial Services application. For more information, see "Implementing your solution with Pega Customer Decision Hub for Financial Services application" in the Pega Customer Decision Hub for Financial Services Implementation Guide on the Pega Customer Decision Hub for Financial Services product page.
Instances of Client Based Access control rules

These rules have defined specific properties that are customer personal data and runs custom defined activities to read (Access), update (Rectify), and delete (Rectify) the data. For more details, open the Client Based Access rules, for example:

For more details on how to leverage the GDPR compliance functionality, see Supporting EU GDPR data privacy rights in Pega Infinity with client-based access control on PegaCommunity.
