Updating existing policy objects

Updated on January 18, 2022

If your implementation includes custom policy objects that are configured using any version of Pega Foundation for Healthcare prior to 8.5, update the existing policies to support the data model enhancements that were made to support multiple plans with multiple effective end dates within a single policy.

Pega Foundation for Healthcare Update Guide
  1. In the header of Dev Studio, click Configure > Healthcare > Update policy.
This operation may take some time, depending on the number of policies in the system. You will receive a notification when the update is complete. By default, the utility updates a maximum of 500 policies. If your system has more than 500 policies, perform the following steps:
    1. In the header of Dev Studio, search for the pyMaxRecords application setting.
    2. Extend this setting to your implementation layer to update the number of records for specific Production levels to match the number of policies that you want to update.
  2. Click Start update to update all the policies.
