Configuring the data retention period for Visual Business Director

Updated on December 10, 2021

This content applies only to Pega Cloud environments

Starting in Pega Customer Decision Hub 8.5, collections data accumulated in Visual Business Director is automatically cleaned out after the time period specified in the vbd/dataRetentionTimeout dynamic system setting. You can configure the time period to match your requirements.

Pega Customer Decision Hub Update Guide
Note: By default, the data is removed after 465 days (15 months). Increasing the value of the setting means that Visual Business Director data is retained for a longer time period, but it may also increase the impact on resources such as memory and disk space.
  1. Log in to Pega Customer Decision Hub as an operator with access to Dev Studio.
  2. In Dev Studio, click RecordsSysAdmin.
  3. Edit the vbd/dataRetentionTimeout dynamic system setting and specify a new time period in days.
