Setting the response timeout

Updated on June 20, 2022

This content applies only to Pega Cloud environments

To trigger a negative feedback signal when the waiting time for an outbound campaign has expired, set the response timeout for the relevant predictions. Starting with Pega Customer Decision Hub version 8.5, you configure the response timeout in a prediction in Prediction Studio.

Pega Customer Decision Hub Update Guide
Before you begin: Identify the predictions for which you want to set the response timeout. Use the list that you created during the pre-update stage when you removed the pyCampaignOptimization flags from the customized prediction strategies. For more information, see Removing deprecated response timeout settings.
  1. In Prediction Studio, open a prediction for which you want to set the response timeout, and then click Settings.
  2. In the Response timeout section, select the Fixed time frame option, and then specify how long you want the system to wait for a response to your offer.

In Prediction Studio, the fixed time frame option is selected and set to one minute.
Result: After the specified amount of time elapses, the system records the alternative outcome for the interaction, for example, NoResponse.
