Pega Sales Automation data import (8.1-8.4)

This article guides you through the process of importing your data into the Pega Sales Automation™ application. Analyze your data, prepare it for the import, and choose an import method that meets your business requirements.

To import your data into Pega Sales Automation application, use comma-separated values (CSV) files. The columns in the CSV files are mapped to fields in the Pega Sales Automation data model by using templates. The following image outlines the data import process:

The data import process is divided into the following major steps:

  1. Preparing the data
  2. Importing the data

You can use one of the following options for uploading the CSV files into your application:

  1. Data Import wizard – see Importing the data.
  2. Data import File Listener, recommended only for large data volumes – see Using the data import File Listener.
