Changes to real-time containers in Pega Marketing for Communications 8.1

If you use the new customer acquisition feature in Pega Marketing™ for Communications 7.4, ensure that it continues to operate properly after you upgrade your application to version 8.1 by learning about the changes to real-time containers.

The following table lists real-time containers in release 7.4 and their counterparts in release 8.1 (including new containers):

For the new containers, make sure that you create the supporting decisions and underlying strategies in your application. For more information about the new customer acquisition journey, see New customer acquisition journey in Pega Marketing for Communications 8.1

Make sure that you create a Discount business group in the Acquisition business issue and add propositions. Pega recommends that you define the following form fields in the Decision Data rule for the Discount group:

  • Label
  • pyName
  • pyGroup
  • pyIssue
  • OfferType
  • BundleParent (boolean)
  • MonthlyRecurringCost
  • BusinessGroup
  • BundleType
  • Type
  • ShortDescription
  • Category
  • StartingEvidence
  • StartingPropensity
  • IsPlanMultiSelect (boolean)
