Customizing extension points in the Interaction portal
You can review and customize the extension points in the Interaction portal to ensure that UI screens and elements are rendered appropriately to meet business needs.
In the navigation pane of Dev Studio, click
.Review the existing UI screens and elements. The following table shows the UI screens that can be extended.
UI Screen Extension Points Search by a drop-down list of options on the Start interaction with customer screen Ability to add or delete search parameters in the drop-down list. Search results on the Start interaction with customer screen Ability to modify the display of search results after search is performed on a criterion. For example, adding or removing columns in the search result. The Organization tab in the customer 360 degree view Ability to customize the details shown in the Organization tab to suit the business requirements. The Configured product tab in the customer 360 degree view Ability to customize the details shown in the Configured product tab to suit the business requirements. Summary message on the Display Summary screen Ability to customize the details shown on the Display Summary screen such as a confirmation message and work order details. Summary message on the Service Request Summary screen Ability to customize the details shown on the Service Request Summary screen such as a confirmation message and work order details. Open the UI screen you want to modify.
To identify the related rules, click the Live UI icon.
Select the element that you want to change.
When an element is selected, Live UI provides information about that element, such as the sections and harnesses that the element is a part of.
Click the Open rule in Dev Studio icon to open that rule in Dev Studio and update it as needed.
To customize your changes, click Private Edit.
Click Save.
