Resolution options

Operators in Pega Smart Dispute for Issuers can evaluate and resolve the Reg II cases as Resolved-WriteOff, Resolved-CustomerLiable, or Resolved-AcquirerLiable status with proper accounting to help customers on the claim processing for VISA, Mastercard, and Maestro associations.

The following are the resolution options:

  • Write-off - The system resolves the case as Resolved-WriteOff with proper accounting.
  • Customer liable - If the customer does not receive provisional credit, the system resolves the case with a Resolved-CustomerLiable status.
  • Acquirer liable - The system resolves the case as Resolved-AcquirerLiable.

The resolution options for the Reg II eligible dispute cases applies to fraud and non-fraud scenarios and applies to single and multiple dispute transactions.
