Step:15: RxNorm Drug Data Search capabilities

The Pega Foundation for Healthcare supports a drug search and display capability in its Drug Data Store leveraging the RxNorm drug data model. The Foundation supports the intake of all RxNorm drug data files including full monthly formats as well as weekly change files. The Foundation also provides an intuitive user experience for drug search, enabling the user to query the RxNorm database using RxCUI codes, NDC codes and other industry-standard pharmaceutical identifiers. The RxNorm drug data Extract includes below list of files:

  1. RXNATOMARCHIVE
  2. RXNCONSO
  3. RXNCUI
  4. RXNCUICHANGES
  5. RXNDOC
  6. RXNREL
  7. RXNSAB
  8. RXNSAT
  9. RXNSTY

Each file type from above list is mapped to a data class and the DB schema is represented below:
