Understand Pega Sales Automation personas and their actions

Pega Sales Automation supports key operator types called personas which you associate based on their role in the application. The table below describes the personas the application includes by default.

Administrator (Sys Admin)Manages the entire application and performs advanced tasks. Has access to both App and Dev Studio.
Application SetupRuns the New Application wizard and creates the application implementation layer.
AuthorPerforms early configuration steps in App Studio.
Global Sales OpsHas access to the entire application without the territory limitations. Sees data and can access to all territories. Acts as a super admin for the system, supports the sales teams by managing territories, users, and administrating data. There is only one Global Sales Ops in the application.
Local Sales OpsWorks in boundaries defined by territories is assigned to. Supports the sales teams by managing territories, users, and administrating data within the assigned territory. There can be multiple Local Sales Ops in the application.
Sales ManagerManages teams, monitors the overall performance, and collaborates with the subordinate teams.
Sales Representative (Sales Rep)Manages the lead and opportunity pipeline including all communications with prospects and customers.
Channel Manager (Partner Relationship Management persona)Manages partners associated with the parent organization.
Partner Sales Operations (Partner Relationship Management persona)A sales operations in the partner organizations creating, modifying, or removing partner sales representatives.
Partner Seller (Partner Relationship Management persona)A sales representative in the partner organizations selling products of the parent organization.
Partner Seller Manager (Partner Relationship Management persona)A sales manager in the partner organizations managing partner sellers.

After purchasing a Pega Sales Automation license and logging into the application, you act as an application setup persona. When you create your implementation application by performing the New Application wizard steps, you can add both Administrators and Authors personas.

After you set up your team structure, users log in as defined personas, have access to particular App Studio navigation pane items, see dashboards and widgets defined by their role in the process.

To view personas, in the navigation pane of App Studio, click UsersPersonas.
