Mass transfer
You may need to transfer a large volume of claims within the system to another operator or work queue.
If your role allows, you can select Claims>Mass transfer from the left panel of your dashboard.
You can search for claims to transfer by entering the criteria into the search fields, selecting from the results, and clicking on the Transfer claims button in the top right corner of the screen.
Mass transfer search criteriaSearch criteria | Description |
Transfer from operator | Begin entering a name or operator ID. SCE will display possible matches as they are identified. This will return all the claims in the operators To do list, subject to limitation by adding additional search criteria. |
Transfer from work queue | Begin entering the work queue name. SCE will display possible matches as they are identified. This will return all the claims in the work queue, subject to limitation by adding additional search criteria. |
Billing provider tax ID | Begin entering the provider name, internal ID, or tax identification number. SCE will display possible matches as they are identified. |
Patient | Begin entering the patient name or ID. SCE will display possible matches as they are identified. |
Subscriber | Begin entering the subscriber name or ID. SCE will display possible matches as they are identified. |
ICN | Use the Add ICNs function to add one or more ICNs to be transferred. |
Service from | Enter or use the date picker to select a Service from date. |
Service to | Enter or use the date picker to select a Service to date. |
Billed amount | Use the operators to define the billed amount or range you wish to identify. |
Event code | Begin entering event codes or use the down arrow to bring up a list to select from. You may enter multiple event codes. |
Type | Choose one or more claim types (Professional, Institutional, Dental, Predetermination). |
Channel type | Use the Add channel type function to add one or channel types. |
Status | Begin entering claim statuses; SCE will display possible matches as they are identified. |
Once the search results are returned, use the checkbox on the header row to select all the results OR individually select or deselect claims using the checkboxes on each row. The Transfer claims button on the top right will indicate the total number of claims you have selected.
Clicking Transfer claims opens a modal. Your search criteria are displayed at the top of the screen and the claims you selected are listed at the bottom. You may use the trash can icon to remove any claims you do not wish to transfer.
Select the destination for your claims - an operator or a work queue. Advanced options allow you to adjust the urgency of the claim, add instructions and select a date when the assignment should be active. Clicking Submit executes the transfer.
