on the premises, on-premises

When referring to a location, use on the premises. As an adjective, use on-premises (hyphenated).

Always use the plural form, premises. The singular form, premise, means an assumption.

  • When referring to a location: … regardless of whether the application is on the premises or running in Pega Cloud Services.
  • As an adjective: Extract data from Pega Cloud Services to an on-premises database.
