Pega Warranty quality reports
Quality reports display all of the quality aspects that are included in the warranty processes provided by the Pega® Warranty application.
The Quality reports category includes the following reports:
- Chargeback amount by failed part number
- Claim status by claim type
- Failure rate by product hierarchy
- Number of warranty claims
- Supplier claim amount versus paid amount for causal code and failed part
- Total failed part by suppliers
- Total repair cost by causal code and causal part
- Warranty cost by causal code
- Warranty cost by month by claim type
Chargeback amount by failed part number report
This report provides the following information:
- The chargeback amount by failed part number.
- The amount paid by the dealer to the manufacturer for each failed part number.
For example, if a supplier or a dealer is responsible for the product failure, then the manufacturer recovers their cost. This recovered cost is called a chargeback amount. The chargeback amount reports show you how much a dealer pays to a manufacturer for each failed part number.
Claim status by claim type report
This report provides the following information:
- The claim status by each claim type.
- The claim type and all of the claim statuses data.
For example, a dealer selects a claim type while creating warranty claims. Afterwards, all of the created claims are visible in multiple statuses with each different claim type.
Failure rate by product hierarchy reports
These reports provide the following information:
- The monthly failure rate filtered by the product hierarchy.
- The monthly failure data that occurred for different product hierarchies mapped to a product serial number or vehicle identification number (VIN).
- The failure rate by category, failure rate by class, failure rate by family, failure rate by product line, failure rate by product, and the failure rate by product serial number or VIN.
For example, after a dealer creates a Repair order case for a product that is under warranty, Pega Warranty generates a Warranty claim case to recover the total repair cost from the manufacturer. All of the warranty claims that are paid by the manufacturer to the dealer each month are captured.
Number of Warranty claims reports
These reports show the number of warranty claims filtered by month and region. For example, after a dealer creates a Repair order case for a product that is under warranty, Pega Warranty generates a Warranty claim case to recover the total repair cost from the manufacturer. All of the warranty claims that are paid by the manufacturer to a dealer each month are captured.
Supplier claim amount versus paid amount for causal code and failed part reports
These reports provide the following information:
- The claim amount versus the paid amount by causal code and failed part numbers.
- The claim amount data captured based on the supplier claim and the total supplier recovery amount, which is captured after the supplier pays to the manufacturer, filtered by top 10 causal codes or failed parts numbers.
- The supplier claim amount versus the paid amount for each causal code or supplier claim amount versus the paid amount for each failed part.
For example, if the supplier or dealer is responsible for the product failure, then the manufacturer recovers their cost. The cost recovered from the dealer is called a chargeback amount. The cost recovered from the supplier is called a supplier recovery amount.
Total failed part by suppliers report
This report shows the total number of failed parts, by part number, for each supplier.
Total repair cost by causal code and causal part reports
These reports provide the following information:
- Industry-standard repair cost data.
- The monthly total repair cost incurred through the product repairs for each causal code and causal part.
For example, when a dealer creates a Repair order case for a product with one or more customer problems, the dealer or a repair technician then assigns a customer concern code and a total cost. Dealers and manufacturers can review the total repair cost by month, total repair cost by causal code, and the total repair cost by causal part reports.
Warranty cost by causal code report
This report shows the total warranty cost for the top 10 most commonly used causal codes. A manufacturer can use this information to determine what the cause of the failure was. A dealer selects the causal code, for example, transmission failure.
Warranty cost by month by claim type report
This report shows the monthly warranty cost by each claim type. For example, a dealer selects a claim type while creating warranty claims. After the warranty claims are created, the total warranty cost incurred for the particular claim type is visible in the report.
