Pega Smart Claims Engine for Healthcare also has the capability to automatically generate unique ICN Numbers. It lets users enter it manually provided they have the appropriate privileges present at the system Level). ICN Number as a unique identifier has replaced the Claim ID’s on the UI’s as well on the Outbound 835 and ClaimsXten. ICN Number is also incorporated in the API Logic (Put Claims API and Post Claims API).
