Setting up persona-based access rights to the User portal navigation pane
As an operator with the Author persona, assign page access to each persona in the application. Increase efficiency by personalizing the Pega Sales Automation portal navigation pane for each persona, to ensure that each persona sees only the content that is relevant to their daily tasks.
- In the navigation pane of
App Studio, click .
It is recommended that you select the SA Cosmos user portal, because all of the portals in Pega Sales Automation (except for administrator and application setup administrator) have been consolidated into this portal.
- In the matrix showing both personas and pages, select the check boxes to
configure the access rights for each persona.
Only the items that you select are then visible to the particular persona.
- Optional: If you do not see an access group in the list of available options, in Dev Studio, open the access group and select the
Enable page access configuration in App Studio check
box.
If you select the Enable page access configuration in App Studio check box, the system automatically selects the Stop access checking once relevant Access Role to Object instance explicitly denies or grants access check box and creates the <group name>Managed access role. Ensure that the order of roles listed under the check boxes is correct.
- Optional: If you have an access group that uses the same permission as the access group
that is configured by the matrix, in Dev Studio, add the
managed roles to the access group.
For example, if you do not want users to manage the offline access group, apply the privileges for the online access groups, and then add the <group name>Managed access role to the offline access group.
- Click Save.
