Unassigning a work order in the Pega Field Service Dispatcher portal

Updated on March 16, 2021

As a dispatcher, you can unassign a scheduled work order if, for example, the field worker notifies you about an unplanned leave. In such a scenario, you unassign this work order from the current field worker in order to assign it to another field worker at a later time.

Before you begin: Create a work order. For more information, see Creating a standalone work order in the Pega Field Service Dispatcher portal.
  1. In the Pega Field Service Dispatcher portal, to open the work order that you want to modify, perform any of the following actions:

    • Click a work order on the timeline.
    • Click a work order pin on the map.
    • Click on a work order within a job.
  2. On the work order page, click Actions.

  3. Click Unassign.

Result: The work order status changes to Exception-Unassigned.
Reassign this work order to another field worker. For more information, see Reassigning a work order in the Pega Field Service Dispatcher portal.
