Installing the Voice AI desktop app

Install the Voice AI desktop app to capture audio streams from agent desktops and route them to other components in the Voice AI architecture for processing and feedback to agent desktops.

Ensure that the agent desktop runs Windows OS and has a softphone application installed, and that the agent users have the required privileges. For more information, see Prerequisites.

You can install the Voice AI desktop app on each agent’s computer or distribute the app through a virtual desktop environment, such as Citrix.

Installing Voice AI desktop app on a single computer

Follow these steps to install the Voice AI desktop app on an individual agent computer.

The Voice AI desktop app installation executable is one of the Pega deliverables that you receive after onboarding. For a list of all Pega deliverables, see Prerequisites.
  1. Double-click the Voice AI installation executable.
  2. Follow the system prompts.
Result: When the installation is complete, the Voice AI desktop app starts automatically.

Installing Voice AI desktop app on multiple computers

Follow these steps to install the Voice AI desktop app on multiple agent computers through Citrix virtual desktop.

  1. Download the Voice AI installation executable to the Citrix XenApp server. For more information, refer to the XenApp documentation in the Citrix product documentation portal.
  2. Double-click the installation executable.
  3. Follow the system prompts.
  4. In Citrix StoreFront, specify the location of the executable file for the Voice AI desktop app.
  5. Distribute the Voice AI desktop app to the Citrix receivers.
Result: The desktop app is downloaded and installed automatically on the Citrix receivers, which are the agent desktops on which you want to install the Voice AI desktop app. When the installation is complete, the app starts automatically.
