Defining outbound limits for traditional marketing campaigns

To define outbound limits for traditional outbound marketing campaigns, create a new contact policy.

Attention: This method should only be used for defining outbound limits for traditional outbound marketing campaigns. For outbound customer engagement Pega recommends to use the outbound schedule option available within the Next-Best-Action Designer, referred to as the next-best-action approach.

To create the Contact policy, you need access to the Campaigns menu, which is available only when the Marketing Campaign Edition is enabled in your system.

The Contact Policies landing page provides a quick overview of the various Contact policies configured in the application. The landing page displays the start and end date of each policy along with its availability. Details about the limits specified for a particular policy are visible by expanding the row for the individual policy (via the arrow on the left side), as shown below:

  1. In the Pega Customer Decision Hub portal, click Campaigns Contact Policies.
  2. Click Create.
  3. Enter a unique Contact Policy name in the Name field.
  4. Choose the desired outcome to be tracked and click Save.
